Airport Renovations Completed

Eleven months after beginning a 108 million peso renovation of Mazatlán’s Rafael Buelna International Airport, yesterday Sinaloa Governor Mario López Valdez and various State authorities inaugurated the expanded and modernized building.
Improvements include an improved luggage handling area, a new waiting room, VIP passenger lounge, new exterior, a mural, more efficient parking and digital arrival and departure boards.
At the inauguration, Governor López Valdez mentioned that the airport was built in 1970 and according to statistics from Grupo OMA, owner of the airport, the number of passengers passing through the terminal has increased 18 percent over the last two years.
