Woolworth department store opened its doors yesterday in Mazatlán.
Although not widely publicized as a component of the shopping mall, the store is located in the newly inaugurated Plaza Sendero on Av. Libramiento, corner of Cristobal Colón in colonia El Venadillo.
This is the first of two Woolworth stores planned for Mazatlán, said assistant director of merchandizing Victor Velero Fenton. A second in El Centro is expected to open in approximately six months.
Velero Fenton characterized the store as targeting middle and lower middle class buyers by providing low prices and quality products.

Approximately 35 million pesos were invested in the Sendero Plaza store, providing 62 jobs for local Mazatlecans.
The company is considering stores in other Sinaloan municipalities such as Los Mochis and Culiacán which, said Velero Fenton, they consider “fertile territory” for investment.
