2015 Paving Program for Mazatlán

Mazatlán mayor, Carlos Felton, told reporters that in 2015 he will initiate an Accelerated Paving Program. The goal is to pave or repave 800,000 square meters of roadway. He said the project cost would be between 200 and 300 million pesos ($15.2 and $22.8 million).
The mayor said he had talked to the governor about his plan and will be meeting with state officials. He said the plan could be a model for the entire country.
The paving project would take an 18 month period to complete.
Carlos Felton added that the project would be undertaken through a public-private partnership with a Request for Proposal requested from different concrete companies.
