Yesterday a portion of Ave. del Mar was blocked off as workers removed the Pacifico Monument with a large crane. Before sunrise this morning the repair crews had returned with the crane to remove large portions of concrete that had split into by the huge waves caused by Hurricane Odile hitting the monument.
The popular monument was installed on March 14, 2000, in celebration of 100th anniversary of Pacifico Brewery, which opened in Mazatlán on March 14, 1990.
