Mazatlecan Writer First Mexican to Win Premio Planeta Award

Mazatlán writer and journalist, Jorge Zepeda Patterson, was awarded the 2014 Premio Planeta award, an annual Spanish literary prize second only to the Nobel Prize for Literature in terms of honour. Zepeda Patterson is the first Mexican to be awarded the prize.
A total of 436 literary works were judged this year, with Zepeda Patterson´s novella Milena, el femur más bello del mundo winning the 600,000 Euro prize money.
