Refurbishing of Tourists Areas to Begin

Francisco Córdova Celaya, Secretary of Tourism for the state of Sinaloa, said that within the next ten days a 30 million pesos ($2.25 million) project for refurbishing of the city’s tourist areas will begin. He pointed out that the project will cover a three-year period.
The three-year project will begin in the area of Valentino’s and proceed northwards up to Hotel El Cid.
The Secretary of Tourism said improvements in the Golden Zone will include the area’s infrastructure, such as sidewalks and electrical wiring. 12 million pesos ($900,000) will be spent this year on the refurbishing project.
Improvements and repairs to the Malecón are part of the project, Francisco Córdova said.
