Angela Peralta Theater Closed for Renovations

Mazatlán’s iconic 140-year-old Angela Peralta Theater in Centro Historico closed its doors on Thursday evening to begin renovations.
Seven million pesos will be invested in a new air conditioning system to replace the 15-year-old one that left some theater goers sweating in their seats while others froze, said Mayor Carlos Felton.
Also included in the upgrade is a new projector and remodeling of dressing rooms, bathrooms and scenery workshop. The theater is expected to re-open for performances in October.
