Record Heat in Sinaloa

This month high temperatures in two Sinaloa municipalities broke a 20-year record, said CAADES meteorologist Manuel de Jesús Ortiz Acosta.
On Wednesday, the temperature in Culiacán registered 43ºC in the shade, surpassing the previous high of 41.5ºC in May, 1994. Taking into account humidity, the heat index on Wednesday registered 49ºC.
On the same day Los Mochis registered 41.5ºC, whereas the previous high temperature in the municipality was 40ºC.
With respect to municipalities in south Sinaloa, the meteorologist advised in Mazatlán, Elota and Escuinapa temperatures oscillated between 32ºC and 38ºC. (from Noroeste)
