Free Pet Sterilization Program Begins

The Mazatlán municipal government inaugurated yesterday its pet sterilization and vaccination program entitled “Tenencia responsible y sanidad animal” which is run until 2016. The inauguration was attended by Mayor Felton, the Sinaloa Secretary of Health and the sister of “Dog Whisperer” César Millán, Mireya Millán.
The campaign will start on Monday in popular colonias beginning in Benito Juárez. The daily operations will take place in the Health department’s mobile unit and is available free to owners of cats and dogs between four months and five years of age.
The goal is to attend to 2,000 pets a year in the municipality. (from Noroeste)
