Attending the 2014 World Convention of Mining Companies in Toronto, Canada this week, Sinaloa Governor Mario López Valdez announced 3,380 million pesos will be invested this year in Mocorito, Cosalá and El Rosario by gold and silver mining companies.

In a press release the Sinaloa government stated functionaries had met with investors from Canada and the United States and that mining investment in the State will double the income garnered by the previous administration.

Speaking at the convention, López Valdez said there are 110 mining projects in the State by 71 companies of which 60 percent are foreign owned.
